Problem Report 3 (9/2/00)

A bug has been discovered in Wave Corrector which affects the making of disc-at-once (DAO) recordings using the 'synchronise track boundaries' option.

The bug causes the track markers to be incorrectly placed when the user manually moves the position of a marker.

It is possible to manually insert and delete DAO track markers with no problem. The problem only occurs when the user moves (adjusts) a marker after it has been created.

The problem only occurs when the 'synchronise track boundaries' check box is checked.

Notice: 23rd February 2000 Wave Corrector Version 1.12 released

Wave Corrector Version 1.12 has now been released. This release offers improved compatibility between wave files created by Wave Corrector and those created by other wave editor programs.

Note Any users still running v1.0 or v1.1 are advised to upgrade because of bugs in these earlier versions.

Problem Report 2 (14/2/00)

A small number of customers have reported that Wave Corrector is unable to open wave files which have been produced by certain Wave Editor packages. The only packages so far reported have been Steinberg's 'WaveLab'; and Steinberg's 'Get it on CD'. This problem is caused by Wave Corrector's over-enthusiastic file type checking routine.

ResolutionThe latest release (v1.12) overcomes this problem.

Problem Report 1 (14/2/00)

It has come to our attention that there is a problem with the archive file 'wcor111.zip' obtainable from the SimTel archive site and its mirrors. The archive contains the setup file for Wave Corrector Version 1.1 and not version 1.11 as stated in its documentation. The same problem also affects the archive file obtainable from the ZDNet download site.

If you have downloaded Wave Corrector directly from this site, you will not be affected by this problem. However, if you have downloaded from any of the SimTel sites or from ZDNet, then you will have installed v1.1 and not v1.11. Version 1.11 fixed a couple of minor bugs which are described below.

ResolutionThe archive file 'wcor111.zip' has now been replaced by 'wcor112.zip' which contains the latest version of Wave Corrector and is not affected by this problem.

We apologise to all customers who have been affected by this incident.
